Coppacchioli Tattini 'Primodicupi' 2023

IGT Marche Vissanello
Tart white fruit, alpine herbs, wet stone

Regular price €17,90
Taxes included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

Primodicupi is made from the fruit of an ancient, ungrafted Vissanello vine — an indigenous Pecorino variety historically cultivated at Cupi di Visso, recovered from a site near the village where it still grows married to field maples. It’s the result of high-altitude mountain viticulture, grown at 1,000 metres in the Sibillini Mountains National Park, with vines farmed organically on clay-loam soils. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature before at least 9 months in stainless steel, followed by bottle ageing in the cellar. The wine displays aromas of tart white fruit, alpine herbs and wet stone, whilst the palate shows a round body, with high acidity and a savoury, salty finish. Pair with truffles, eel or fried fish.

About the Producer

Coppacchioli Tattini is a small estate located in Cupi di Visso, high within the Sibillini National Park. Established in 2016, the winery is led by Ginevra Coppacchioli, who manages the project alongside her family. The vineyards sit at an altitude of 1,000 meters, making them some of the highest cultivated plots in the region. Farmed organically across roughly five hectares, the vines experience intense mountain temperature swings, harsh winters, and surrounding wild vegetation. The production focuses on local varieties, including an historic strain of local Vissanello (Pecorino) as well as Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, used to make for both still wines and traditional-method sparkling wines. Working with small yields and manual harvesting, production is extremely limited and completed entirely within the estate. The resulting wines are defined by high natural acidity and sharp minerality, reflecting their high-altitude farming.
