This Shipping and Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through https://shop.marcanteca.com operated by Marcanteca di Giorgio Pierini, with registered address at Via Monte Freddo 2, Sirolo (AN), 60020 ITALY, VAT number 03057160420, and email hello@marcanteca.com. 

1 · Order processing

Orders are processed after confirmation of payment and usually dispatched within 2-5 business days, unless otherwise stated on the Website or during the checkout process.

Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or public holidays observed in Italy.

In periods of high demand, promotional activity, or exceptional circumstances, processing times may be longer than usual.

2 · Shipping destinations

We currently offer shipping to the following destinations:

European Union: Italy, Belgium, France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Denmark;

United Kingdom;

United States: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY. Shipping to the following states is subject to an additional €5 charge per 6 bottles: AR, MO, MT, NE, OK, TX.

Delivery availability may vary depending on the product, destination, local legal restrictions, and carrier limitations. We reserve the right to restrict or refuse shipments to certain destinations where delivery is not possible or legally permitted.

3 · Delivery times

Estimated delivery times are shown during checkout where available and are provided for information purposes only. Unless otherwise stated, estimated delivery times following dispatch are generally as follows:

• Italy: 2-5 business days

• EU countries: 3-10 business days

• United Kingdom: 2-5 business days

• United States: 7-14 business days

Delivery times are approximate and may vary due to customs procedures, carrier delays, weather events, peak periods, remote delivery areas, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

4 · Shipping costs

Shipping charges vary depending on the destination, the weight and volume of the order, and any applicable handling or delivery requirements. The tables below set out the shipping fees currently applicable to orders shipped to (i) EU destinations, (ii) the United Kingdom, and (iii) the United States. All applicable shipping charges are shown to the customer before the order is completed. Shipping rates are subject to change from time to time due to carrier pricing, fuel surcharges, operational costs, regulatory changes, customs-related costs, or other factors affecting delivery. The shipping charges applicable to a specific order will in any case be those displayed at checkout at the time the order is placed.

There are no minimum order quantities for any destination, except for the United States and Latvia, where the minimum order quantity is 6 bottles. Standard orders are capped at 30 bottles. For orders exceeding 30 bottles, customers are invited to contact us to discuss available shipping options.

Italy shipping rates

The following shipping charges apply to deliveries within Italy. For local delivery within a radius of 25 km, a flat rate of €12.00 applies regardless of order size. For standard shipments, the rates below apply according to the number of bottles ordered.

EU (non-Italy destinations) shipping rates

The following shipping charges apply to deliveries within the European Union. Unless otherwise stated, applicable excise duties and taxes are included in the shipping costs shown below. Unless otherwise stated, the applicable shipping charge is determined by the total number of bottles included in the order and by the relevant destination.

There is no minimum order quantity for EU countries, except for Latvia which has a minimum order quantity of 6 bottles.

United Kingdom shipping rates

The following shipping charges apply to deliveries within the United Kingdom. Unless otherwise stated, applicable customs duties, excise duties, and taxes are included in the shipping costs shown below. There is no minimum order quantity for the UK.

United States shipping rates

The following shipping charges apply to deliveries to the following US states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY. 

Deliveries to AR, MO, MT, NE, OK, and TX are also available, but subject to an additional €5 charge per 6 bottles. The applicable amount will be shown at checkout in the order currency.

Unless otherwise stated, customs duties, import taxes, and any other local charges are not included in the shipping costs shown below.

The minimum order quantity for deliveries to the United States is 6 bottles. Please note: shipping charges for U.S. orders are based on destination and quantity band. Shipping costs do not necessarily increase progressively with bottle count, and the applicable charge will in all cases be shown at checkout before the order is completed.

5 · Customs duties, import taxes, and local charges

For deliveries to EU destinations and the United Kingdom, unless otherwise stated at checkout or on the Website, the shipping charges shown are intended, at the time of purchase, to include applicable customs duties, excise duties, import charges, clearance fees, taxes, and other charges ordinarily associated with importation and delivery. 

For deliveries to the United States, customs duties, import taxes, clearance fees, and any other local charges are not included unless expressly stated otherwise on the Website.

We reserve the right to amend shipping charges, delivery conditions, and the allocation of customs duties, taxes, clearance fees, and other import-related charges at any time where this becomes necessary or appropriate due to changes in local laws, regulations, customs practices, carrier requirements, import restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. The terms and charges applicable to a specific order will in all cases be those presented on the Website and/or at checkout at the time the order is placed. Customers are responsible for checking any import restrictions or local requirements applicable in the destination country before placing an order.

6 · Delivery address and failed delivery

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible delivery address is provided, or if the recipient is unavailable and the package cannot be delivered, additional costs for storage, redelivery, return, or reshipment may be charged to the customer where permitted by applicable law.

We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by inaccurate address details supplied by the customer.

7 · Transfer of risk

If the customer is a consumer, the risk of loss of or damage to the goods passes to the customer only when the customer, or a third party designated by the customer and other than the carrier, physically takes possession of the goods.

If the customer independently appoints a carrier not offered by us, the risk may pass to the customer at the time the goods are handed over to that carrier, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8 · Delivery issues and damaged parcels

Customers should inspect the package upon delivery and notify us as soon as possible if:

• the parcel appears damaged

• items are missing

• the wrong products were delivered

• the package has been tampered with

Customers should, where reasonably possible, retain the packaging materials and provide photographs and any relevant delivery information in order to help us assess the issue.

9 · Delays and force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to carrier disruption, strikes, customs delays, extreme weather, natural events, war, civil unrest, epidemic or pandemic events, governmental measures, or supply chain interruption.

Where such events occur, we will make reasonable efforts to inform customers and to minimize disruption.

10 · Age-restricted products

Alcoholic beverages may be purchased only by persons who are at least 18 years old, or who have reached any higher minimum legal age required under the laws applicable in the destination country. 

By placing an order, the customer confirms that both the purchaser and the intended recipient meet the applicable legal age requirement. We reserve the right to perform age verification before accepting an order, before dispatch, and/or at delivery, including through the carrier where available. If age verification cannot be completed successfully, if the purchaser or recipient is under the applicable legal age, or if delivery would otherwise be unlawful, we may refuse, cancel, suspend, or not complete the order or delivery, in accordance with applicable law. 

11 · Restricted destinations and product limitations

Some products may not be available for shipment to certain countries or regions due to legal, regulatory, carrier, or commercial restrictions, including restrictions applicable to alcoholic beverages.

We reserve the right to cancel an order and issue a refund if we are unable to lawfully or practically ship the ordered products to the selected destination.

12 · Split shipments

Where necessary, an order may be delivered in multiple shipments. Unless otherwise stated, additional shipping charges will not be applied for split shipments caused by our logistics requirements.

13 · Tracking

Where tracking is available, customers may receive a shipping confirmation email containing tracking details after dispatch.

Tracking availability may vary depending on the carrier or destination.
