Accadia 'Innocenza' 2015

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Passito
Acacia honey, dried apricot, toasted almond

Regular price €35,50
Taxes included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

Crafted in micro-quantities in Serra San Quirico only during exceptional vintages, Innocenza represents an ambitious interpretation of Passito Verdicchio. The fruit undergoes a dual drying process—partly on the vine and partly in single-layer crates—concentrating natural sugars and aromatics before undergoing a five-year aging period in oak tonneaux. In the glass, it presents a deep amber-gold hue, with complex aromas of dried apricot, candied citrus peel, acacia honey, toasted almond, and subtle oak spice. On the palate, rich, honeyed sweetness is offset by Verdicchio’s signature acidity, ensuring a freshness to the finish. Serve at 12–14°C alongside almont tart, cantucci, blue cheeses or foie gras.

About the Producer

Accadia is a family-run estate located in Contrada Ammorto – the heart of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi’s Classico zone. Founded in 1983 by Angelo Accadia and his wife Maria, the winery now operates with the second generation, their daughter Evelyn. The estate's vineyards span roughly 9 hectares in a foothill environment framed by oak forests and olive groves, benefiting from a microclimate influenced by mountain air and coastal sea breezes. Farming emphasises strict biodiversity and sustainable management. Primary production centers on Verdicchio, with regional red varieties like Montepulciano and Sangiovese alongside. In the cellar, traditional winemaking is paired with minimal intervention (such as unfilitered, skin-macerated expressions), yielding expressive wines that reflect a contemporary view of this appellation.
