Clandestini 'Oltre Confine' NV

Vino Rosato Passerina, Montepulciano
Wild red berries, crushed pomegranate, Mediterranean scrub

Regular price €16,90
Taxes included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

Crafted in Offida by radical low-intervention producers Anna Caliendo and Maurizio Listone, Oltre Confine sits deliberately outside standard wine classifications. The wine is produced by co-harvesting indigenous white and red varieties—including Trebbiano, Malvasia, Sangiovese, and Montepulciano—from 20-year-old organic vines. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts and given brief skin maceration before aging for a year in stainless steel on fine lees, it bottles pure fruit expression without added sulfites, filtration, or fining. It has a hazy coral-pink colour, with aromas of wild red berries, crushed pomegranate, Mediterranean scrub, and a savory yeast-derived note. The palate is vibrant, with bright citrus acidity, subtle skin-contact, and a salty, lingering finish. Serve lightly chilled with spiced couscous, charcuterie, grilled poultry, or medium-aged sheep's milk cheeses.

About the Producer

Clandestini is an artisanal winery located in Contrada Ciafone in Offida (Ascoli Piceno), established in 2019 by Anna Caliendo and Maurizio Listone. The vineyards are farmed using strictly natural methods, avoiding synthetic chemicals and heavy canopy management to let the vines adapt to the local calcareous-clay soils. Hand-harvested in small crates, the grapes are brought into a straightforward cellar where vinification relies entirely on spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts. Working without temperature control, additives, fining, or filtration, the estate deliberately avoids standard classifications – often labeling their wines outside conventional frameworks (such as table wines or field blends) to focus entirely on seasonal expression. The results are unpolished, expressive and untethered from traditional appellation rules.
