The vineyard site, Vigna del Crinale, can only be reached on foot, sitting at approximately 410 metres above sea level on compact calcareous sandstone. Fermentation takes place in a blend of stainless steel and small neutral oak barrels, followed by secondary bottle fermentation and extended aging on the fine lees without any added dosage at disgorgement. Limited to about 1,000 bottles annually, the wine displays aromas of lemon curd, yellow apple, toasted hazelnut and white blossom. The palate is bone-dry and broad, combining creamy lees texture and fine bubbles with clean citrus that carries into a long, mineral finish.
