Fattoria Mancini 'Impero Brut' Blanc de Noirs Cuvée

Spumante Metodo Classico Pinot Nero
Yellow orchard fruit, flint, subtle oak

Regular price €33,50
Taxes included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

Impero Brut is Fattoria Mancini’s flagship sparkling wine, made from 100% Pinot Noir vinified in white—a historic specialty of the winery. Harvested by hand from low-yielding parcels, whole-bunch fruit is gently pressed at cool temperatures. The base wine undergoes primary fermentation and seven months of fine-lees aging in French oak barriques with regular bâtonnage before secondary bottle fermentation and extended lees maturation. With a fine, persistent perlage, the wine displays aromas of fresh brioche, toasted almond, yellow orchard fruit, and honeysuckle, alongside subtle toasted oak and a flinty, marine-influenced note. On the palate, it is well balanced with a bone-dry, creamy texture, good acidity, and a long saline finish. Serve with roasted sea bass, seafood risotto, shellfish, light poultry dishes, or aged cheeses.

About the Producer

Fattoria Mancini is a family-owned winery established in 1861, spanning five generations of winemaking. The estate's vineyards are located within the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park, positioned above the cliffs of Focara on the Adriatic coast near Pesaro. The wine style is shaped by the cool microclimate of this north-facing coastal strip and the area’s calcareous sandstone soils. The winery works primarily with Pinot Noir (vinified as red and white wine), which was introduced to the area during the early 19th-century Napoleonic administration and preserved by the family. Over two centuries of adaptation, this clone has become uniquely established here. The winery also cultivates local varieties including Sangiovese, Ancellotta and Albanella.
